Hi All,
I am moving country from Netherlands to Germany which includes carrying lots of luggage and some furniture (bed, sofa and 2 small wardrobes). I was thinking about renting a van (e.g. Mercedes Vito). I try to look for vans but I didn't found any prices... Can you give me some suggestion? Thank you.
Regards,
Ana

hi Ana,
honestly I'm not sure what sort of advice you expect to get from a travel forum about moving your belongings from holland to Germany.
the best I can think of is that you use a website like autoeurope to rent a van of some type; they usually have phone nos you can ring if the info isn't on the website.
alternatively, go to a specialist van rental site and see if they will do a "one way`'
you might even find that there is a removal firm that will give you a good price for a half load, if they have someone else moving in that direction.
There are plenty of companies in Delft who hire vehicles. Do a Google of bestelbusje huren Delft.
You can hire quite a big van on a normal driving licence. Much bigger than a Vito. Ask about which ones you can drive with a rijbewijs B.
You will of course have to return it to Delft once you have moved. The sooner you can do that the cheaper the hire. Expect to pay between €150 and €20 a day depending on the vehicle.
Thanks for the advises.
Annhig, I want to travel myself and my stuff to Germany. I was just wondering if someone had already booked a van for this itinerary and, if so, the best deals in the market. Hum.. yeah, I will check at the prices of removal firms.
Hetismij2, I was planning on doing the trip one way...
Ana - i think that the one-way hire may be VERY expensive. it may be cheaper just to rent by the day/hour, do the trip and bring it back, then return to Germany by train.
shame you are leaving Delft - we spent 3 days there recently and liked it a lot.
I spent here 4 years! Lovely but time for a change
