Trip Report Mountains of North Tuscany

Jump to last reply

Here's my trip report from my visit a few years ago to the mountainous parts of Northern Tuscany (Italy). The scenery here is very dramatic, a complete contrast to the more typical Tuscan landscape further south of rolling hills and vineyards.

The first one sums up my thoughts on the wider area, including Lucca, Garfagnana, Lunigiana and Versillia

And the second one focuses purely on the mountains of the Apuan Alps, a very dramatic and beautiful landscape - Italy's 'Marble Mountains'.

Hope you find it interesting! A truly stunning part of the world :-)
Happy travels!
