Mountain Villages Above Innsbruck

Jump to last reply

I was reading Fodor's Austria and was pleased to see at least one mountain village above Innsbruck mentioned, along with one very expensive hotel there. I am always surprised that people don't have information about the many wonderful little villages, all on public transportation, in which they can stay when visiting the area. Igls-and the affordable apartment hotel Haus Gothensitz is my favorite-but I would like to hear of others in the area. The guidebooks always leave out those marvelous Austrian pensions that make visiting that country such a pleasure.
