Moscow Russia Metro

Can anyone comfirm that the Sheremetveyo Airport and the Rechnoy Vokzal station are on the same meto line?

If that is confirmed, than thay are not too far apart. So roughly how much can one expect to pay for a taxi from the Sheremetveyo Airport to the River Boat North Stataion which is about a mile furtherpast the station?

Thanks

A quick google turns up lots of maps of the Moscow metro system, which say that they are both on the green line. Can't answer the second question, but I would warn you that stops on the Moscow metro can be a LONG way apart. Much further than in London, for instance.

Also, you really have to pay attention to the stops, as you often cannot see the station identification from the train. Point to where you want to get off on a pocket metro map and someone will alert you for your stop.

Rechnoy Vokzal is the last stop on the line, so as long as you get on a train going in the right direction that shouldn't be a problem. (Getting on the right train is where learning Cyrillic comes in handy.) Personally, I count stations.

All great advice - thanks.

Does anyone know how much a taxi should cost? Since that could be easier although dealing with a taxi drivier over cost is a problem so best to know ahead of time.

from Sheremetevo Airport to the Rechnoy Vokzal station taxi should cost approximately 1500 RUR, but have in mind bloody jams in every mornings.
Better use train from Sheremetevo Airport to Belorusskaya station cost 250 RUR p/person , depart every half of our, but doesnt work in the night

I am confused, the Belorusskaya Station is in the opposite direction of the Northern River Boat Station which is close to the Rechnoy Station. What benefit would it be to go the Belorusskaya first?

Just you`ll avoid jams on the Leningradskoye highway if you going drive in the morning from 7 till 10-11
Вistance between A (Sheremetevo Airport) and B (Rechnoy Station) 21,7 km only. http://maps.yandex.ru/-/CBC.rjq
If this time you`ll go by taxi, you may drive in 1,5 - 2 hours from Airport to the Rechnoy Vokzal, I don`t say about money.

fursethk do you read Cyrillic? If you do not, I am not sure I would advise the metro. There are no English signs in the metro. If you do read it, the metro would be a good solution. Also, are you hauling luggage with you? Depending on your arrival time the metro might have space but if you are near rush hour, it could be really crowded, making managing bags a real challenge.
