Month of April 2009 - Italy and ??
We'll be in an apartment in Italy 2 week and want to spend two weeks somewhere else. We do not like to move often so two weeks in one location is good OR at the very least 1 week and 1 week. Would like a little warmth. Love food, wine, leisurly days and meeting people. Smaller towns or country vs big cities (but would do 1 week in a city) Not big into museums.
We'll fly into and out of Paris and then either drive, fly or train to other destinations.

I think you need to be a little more specific. You are flying into Paris and ---- what? staying in Paris first? flying on to Italy for 2 weeks? where in Italy? Are you willing to fly back to Paris to catch your flight home? Or what? Why not get an open jaw ticket so you don't have to backtrack?

The obvious thing would be to have 2 weeks in France, if you are flying in and out of Paris. There is a lot to do and see around Nice, on the French Riviera. Lots of villages and small towns to visit on day trips. You can catch the TGV from Paris or fly.
Malta would also be a good choice, we loved it there. The sister island, Gozo, is great too and has a really slow pace. We found the Maltese to be very friendly people. You can fly from Italy to Malta or there is a ferry from Sicily.

Sorry, We are flying in and out of Paris because there is a new non stop flight from our area. We will be spending 2 weeks in Radda in Chainti. I won't have a problem figuring out how to get somewhere and back BUT we're at a lose about where to go.
So, I'm looking for ideas of areas people that fit this description... At least 60 degrees. Good food, wine, leisurly days and friendly people. Smaller towns or country vs big cities (but would do 1 week in a city) Not big into museums.

My first choice would be Croatia. The small towns and sea are captivating and beautiful. You mention you love food, wine, leisurely days and meeting people. Croatia would definitely fit the bill in my opinion.
