We've narrowed the hotel options down to Le Meridian or Port Palace. Wondering if anyone has stayed at either recently? They are within $50 total of each other price-wise but I would like to understand if one has a better location, view, nicer or larger rooms, etc? I saw that a king bed is available at Le Meridian but it looks a bit more out of the way than Port Palace. Thanks!

You can get Starwood points at Le Meridian (The Luxury Collection), but all things being equal, Port Palace wouldn't be a bad choice (Small Luxury Hotels of the World). They both overlook the sea, just down the avenue from each other, but the Port Palace is a step closer to the water. You can look out your window at the yachts floating a few meters away.
If this in the summer, the beach/pools at Le Meridian looked amazing. I only had dinner there and walked afterwards along the promenade.
