Do not consider Amazon. I bought a card before we went to Italy last year for the same reason. The card did work but it was older than one year, so when I wanted to add money to it I couldn't it was expired. I had to go to a TIM store to get a new card. Somehow the TIM card changed the phone in some way and I could no longer call or text and no one in any of the TIM stores that we went to had ever seen a phone like mine and could not help me to get my settings right. Just make sure when you buy that it is from a trustable source.
