Minorca/ Menorca

Hello. We decided on Menorca instead of Majorca as an island break from our city touring. Flights are booked for Aug 20 to Aug 23 (I know its a short time).

I am trying to narrow down what area may be better suited for what we are looking for. We are a couple in our mid-30s, would like to be in a location that has
- fine sand beaches (not rocky), nothing too remote
- a town with a variety of restaurants and bars (I know there is not a big nighlife on the island).
- 4 or 5 star property. Most likely will eat out for dinner and possibly lunch, but would like breakfast available.
- not interested in staying at a hotel that caters to children
- nothing too remote - would like to be able to get to town or beach easily - not opposed ot hiring a car if necessary and would make life easier.
- would prefer to have some amenities at the hotel - wifi, pool, sat TV etc. (fitness room for my husband would be a plus but not a must)

I was originally looking at Cala Galdana and Arenal D'es Castell but was told that they are both more family oriented. Would it make sense for us to pick a location closer to the 2 cities - Ciutadella and Mao? If so which do you suggest?

I know some place will probably be booked, trying my best to get this done today before it gets any later :-)

Thank you for your time.
