Mildenhall to london

The closest stations are Ely and Bury St Edmunds. There is bound to be good bus service from the base to one or the other or both. If someone on here doesn't know for sure which is best, I'd just ask when you land. I'm sure the base has an info desk for transport questions.

Train station would be Bury St Edmunds - either take a local bus or taxi from Mildenhall to Bury St Edmunds.
Or there is a daily direct National Express coach from Mildenhall to London

There is actually a small train station at Shippea Hill, only a few miles from RAF Mildenhall. The train takes you to Ely, where there is a direct service to London. You can get a taxi from the base to Shippea Hill. There aren't many departures on this line, though, so you may have to take a taxi to Ely (14 miles) instead.
I wouldn't recommend going to Bury St Edmunds, because from there is only a local train service to Cambridge. The train from Ely also goes through Cambridge on the route to London.
Another alternative is the shuttle bus every morning from RAF Mildenhall to Heathrow Airport. It used to be free for Space A travellers, but now costs £10: http://www.mildenhall.af.mil/news/st...p?id=123363477. Ask for help at the information desk in the pax terminal.
From Heathrow it will be easy to get into central London.

Here is another link for the RAF Mildenhall - Heathrow shuttle bus:

Note that the prices are out of date, but as far as I know the timetable is still accurate.
