Traveling USA to Croatia in 2013. 3 nights Dubrovnik, 2 nights Korcula, 2 nights Hvar PLUS international travel time PLUS travel time between points in Italy and Croatia. My wife and I use AMEX points for travel. Original plans called for 3rd week in September for trip. May want to move to June because of limited ability to get between Italy and Croatia. It is probably move difficult on ferries between Dubrovnik - Korcula - Hvar - Split.

Delta points will not take us to Split or Dub. Need to make reservations early so get lower point requirements (100k vs. up to 200k). easyJet has flights between Milan and either Split or Dubrovnik as well as similar flights between Rome. I understand easyJet does not post schedules until later in August for next June schedules. I understand they may only have 3 or 4 flights per week between these locations. We do not want to rent autos.

Looks like will have to fly into Milan or Rome and stay overnight. They take flights over to Croatia next day. Coming home from Split to Italy may have another overnight requirement.

What your feelings between June vs. September?

Are there daily June ferries between Dub ~ Korcula ~ Hvar and Split?

I think that in September ferries only run Dub to Korcula twice a week.

Do you think (based on prior years experience; I know no guarantees) easyJet will run about the same Italy/Croatia schedules next June as they are running now. They show no flights after August.

Any other ideas about solving difficulties of getting from USA to Croatia using AMEX points and they paying cash for rest of airfares.

Appreciate your help. I did not anticipate transportation challenges.
