I am planning on visiting above places but i know so little bout them.
The plan is to have a stay as below:
1 night at Milan
2 nights at Nice
1 night at St. Gallen
2 nights at Lucerna
1 night in Paris
3 nights in London
Is it okay to use land transport or will it take too much time from one place to another? I am pretty sure that i'll need to use Eurostar or airflight for Paris-London. but i'm not quite sure about others.

If you know little about them - that means you haven't visited any of them before- right?
After this trip . . . you still won't have seen most of them.
What you have basically equals 1/2 a day in Milan, 1 day in Nice, a couple of hours in St. Gallen, 1 day in Lucerne, 4 or 5 hours in Paris and 2 days in London.
Why?
someone i know will have a tournament and will visit those cities..so basically, i'm just tagging along and have my own little travel here and there
You can easily do a lot of this by rail in Switzerland; it only take a couple hours to get from St. Gallen to Lucerne for example which would give you more than enough time there to see the abbey church and the library if it is open as well as your overnight.
You can take a train from Lucerne and be in Zurich in an hour and take the TGV from Zurich to Paris in 4.5 hours so your time in Lucerne is going to depend on what time of day you wish to leave for Paris, obviously.
Don't be put off by people who have decided there is only one satisfying way to travel and yes, lots of people actually go to places they have never been to and that's the reason they go.

Yes. You can take the train to all of these places with one exception that I can see.
- Milan - Nice, 1 change at border, 5hrs
- St Gallen - Lucern, direct, 2hrs
- Lucern - Paris, I think it's quicker/more direct to go Lucern - Basel, pick up the TGV to Paris in Basel, 1 change, 5hrs
- Paris-London, Eurostar, direct, 3hrs
It's the Nice to StGallen route that's the toughest. You might do better on that route to take EasyJet from Nice to Basel, then take a train Basel to St.Gallen.
