Trip Report McRent Lyon - Camping Car 69

Recently returned from a 17 day mobile home southern France trip following the Tour de France. The trip was 5 years in the planning. The mobile home hire was fully paid some 8 months ahead of due date in good faith. The pre travel instruction was over in less than 15 minutes. Had we not "asked" for an instruction on how the awning worked we would not have discovered that it was torn and had a broken support arm. When we were underway we discovered the drivers side wiper didn't work and that the refrigerator did not work on gas. The fire extinguisher and it's bracket fell off the wall and pet food started rolling out from nooks and crannies while we were driving along.
A mudguard fell off on the motorway from previous damage that was highlighted at pickup but still we had to pay, they knew we had to catch a train and so were not in a position to stand our ground. Many other issues/faults.
Attempted resolution through McRents European headquarters but unfortunately it's a case of once they have your money you are wasting your time.
