Well, here in southern England, the meadows and hedgerows are awash with spring flowers right now.

Might be different in southern Turkey or Sweden north of the Arctic Circle. But since you're keeping so quiet about where you've got in mind, hard to help you.

I also was wondering where in the world you are going. I know that all of the azeleas are in bloom here in South Carolina now but I seriously doubt that is your destination of choice. Give us a hint global or you may hear floral reports from around the world and still never get the answer you are seeking. Isn't it funny how we become so wrapped up in planning our own trips that we forget that everyone doesn't already know our destination? An easy mistake to make but funny in this context.

Given that the OP mentioned the Ring Road it seems pretty obvious that the trip is to Iceland.

If that is the case the answer is that it probably depends on what the early spring has been like and where you are. In more sheltered, lower and south facing locations you may well find a reasonable amount of blooming, especially towards the end of the month.

Incidentally the lupins are a pest, they were imported and are now running rampant.

Ring Road might be obvious to those who have done some research and know it is located in Iceland For those of us who have never contemplated a trip to Iceland it wasn't quite so obvious.

I just read through this, and when I saw "ring road" I guessed Ring of Kerry in Ireland. I never would have guessed Iceland, since I had no reason to know that.

If the weather is warm enough, perhaps you could see some lupines, but no poppies.

I visited Iceland in late June, saw millions purple lupines everywhere, but no green hills as England, hard to grow on lava fields, perhaps?
