Marseille Hotels
Hi Everyone!
Looking for a nice, non-chain hotel; breakfast included would be perfect; walking distance to centre vieux?) ville/old port area. Budget less than 250 eurors.
We'll be taking the train in; 3 nights.
Thanks!
Cyn

I really liked the Grand Hotel Beauvau in Marseille, perfect location and lovely hotel right on the Port. It's part of the Accor group. Rates depend on when you want to go, they vary, but it shouldn't be hard to find a room at what you want if you don't require the deluxe rooms with views. That budget should be no problem in Marseille. I know I didn't pay anywhere near that much as I never do, but I went in July and prepaid (you can get some discounts for that). I don't remember about the breakfast as I don't eat it.

ok, what is your definition of a "boutique hotel"? Why don't you think that would be one, I'm not clear on that. It's similar to a lot of the hotels called boutique hotels in the US, for example.

As I said, Christina, I will take a look - it may be just what I had in mind! When you said it was part of the Accor group, I took it to mean that it is a larger hotel. What I'm hoping for is a small hotel - maybe 20 rooms or less - family/locally run, breakfast in the sitting room type place.
I'm off to check on the Grand Hotel Beauvau!
