Marco Polo car rental

I am flying into the Marco Polo airport and wondered if someone can tell me about renting a car there. Do you pick it up at the airport? Is there a boat you need to take in order to get it? Helpful hints please? Is it necessary to reserve ahead of time in late September? Thanks, Ron

Hi Ron,

Check with www.novarentacar.com and www.autoeurope.com.

Is there a reason why you want a car in Venice?

Driving from Venice up to the Dolomites. Just need to know where you get the car.

Ron - You can find all the usual rental companies at the airport. Here's the list:

Hope this helps ...

Ron,

I picked a van up at Marco Polo 3 weeks ago. It is very easy. The rental desks are in the terminal, which is relatively small. The car lots are in an outdoor parking area which is a very short walk from the terminal. Less than 100 yards. No bus involved. Easier than picking a car up in the US. Have a great time!

Thanks for the advice. Can anyone give me a place to stay outside of venice, that is on the way to Cortina? We will be pretty tired from traveling so I am not too sure how far I will want to go.We will be arriving around 11:30AM. Thanks, Ron
