Can you please recommend maps for the following locations:
Venice and Rome - walking guides
Tuscany - driving
We will also be goiing to Sorrento as a base for Almafi Coast, Capri, and Pompeii. We won't have a car at that point, just using the train, bus and ferry transport. Would you recommend a map for Capri ? or is it basically self-explanatory once you're there?
We'll have GPS, but I like a paper backup and especially trying to plot a course of action.
Thank you

For the cities, I use Sreetwise. Tjey're plastic coated, and sold in Barnes and Nobles.
For driving in Italy, get Michilin maps. Ihave a Central Italy Michelin that includes Tucscany.
I do the same, Streetwise and Michelin maps. Keep in mind that I don't think there's a map in existence that includes every little "street" in Venice. Just know that you will get lost. But you'll enjoy the city while you're lost!
For Tuscany, I recommend a map with a 1:200,000 scale. Touring Club Italiano makes a good map.
