I am arriving at malpensa airport on january 2010 and was planning to go to zermatt by train from Gallarate train station. When I check the timetables for december 2009 there are several trains departing from Gallarate to Zermat, but on January 2010 there are very few and I would have to wait several hours from the time my plane arrives.
Is there a better way to get from Malpensa airport to Zermatt?
I arrive on January 12 at 11:00.

Not sure where you're looking. I see departures from Milano Centrale at 11:20, 12:25, 13:10, and then not till 17:20, but that still seems like plenty.
Ah, I see what you mean about Gallarate, but it seems well worth your while to take the bus from the airport into Milano Centrale and go from there to avoid a very long wait.
The winter schedules won't be loaded until around Dec. 15. Schedules won't change much, but for all trains and prices to show, you need to enter a date within the next 7 days on Trenitalia.
