Malpensa Express - Strike

Jump to last reply

1 OCTOBER 2015, EIGHT-HOUR STRIKE – FRONT OFFICE STAFF

I just read on the official website of Malpensa Express that there is a strike involving TICKET OFFICE, MY LINK POINT and GATE staff for Thursday 1 October, between 9 am and 5 pm. Per the notice, the strike will not affect the running of the trains. We will be arriving on 10/1 at MXP and were planning to buy our tickets upon arrival to take the Malpensa Express to Milano Centrale. Are there ticket machines at MXP for us to buy the tickets? Our flight arrives at 10:50 a.m. direct from JFK. Any suggestions? How do I handle this?

Also I assume this strike has no impact on the Trenitalia trains as we will be buying our tickets for the train from Milano Centrale to Florence upon arrival at Milano Centrale. It was suggested by the Fodor Community not to buy our tickets in advance in the event our flight is delayed.

Your help please! Thank you so much!
