Malaga Hotels - which one should I choose?

Jump to last reply

We're staying 3 nights in Malaga next month and will be arriving at the airport at 20:00. So first night will be quite late and ideally we can still go out to soak up some fun in town

For those who have been to Malaga, where do you suggest is a good place to locate ourselves? So far I have a few options booked

Note that we'll be going to the airport on the 2nd day to pick up a car (need an automatic!)

Appreciate your thoughts!

1. Barcelo
Pro - right next to the train station; rooms look great; great price; big car park (paid tho) right outside hotel
Con - a bit of walk to the old town! Is it easy to catch a taxi? Safe as well?

2. AC Marriott

Pro - great location,,
Con - reviews of hotel aren't great for the price; construction outside of hotel; car park seems to be an issue; paid wifi at 5 euros per night!!
Price: Rooms are 30 euros more per night compared to Barcelo

3. Room Mate Lola

Pro - a bit closer to old town than Barcelo
Cons - seems like this is a lower end/budget hotel
Price: same price as Barcelo

4. Molina Lario

Pro - right in the middle of the old city; but Room Mate Lola is actually only 600m away!
Cons - price point - it is almost about double the price of Barcelo and Room mate Lola!; parking is also rated as a con on booking.com

Thank you!
