I am thinking of going to Majorca at the end of August, but would change my mind if it was very humid and hot then. What is the weather usually like in Majorca in August? Also, any nice hotels for under $200/nt US? Hopefully near a nice beach. Thanks.

Nice and HOT, like is supposed to be. Party, party and more partying, 24/7. Binge drinking youth and more. Hope you find an empty spot.
It will be hot (80s) but its only rowdy if you pick the wrong resort ie Magalluf, There are some quiet and wonderful resorts on the Soth East side and indeed resorts like Sant Elm in the West isnt rowdy (busy not rowdy).
Stevelyon and others who may read this and have some information:
Can you tell me a little about Colonia de Sant Jordi? Where to stay (hotel) and what to do - we are only staying a few days.
We have done research and the more we read the more confused we get! We have read pros and cons of staying there. Quiet doesn't bother us. We like staying in a lovely, small hotel (not a high rise with many rooms)with sea views, very clean and with a pleasant atmosphere and surrundings and updated decor. We enjoy walking, dining out (really good food), a location with nice views, a town center and places of interest in the area.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
