A few years ago, I planned a great trip to Italy with lots of help from the discussion board at www.fodors.com. This included a visit to the historical city of Pompei. It was so much more than I expected. For those who have not visited Pompei before, unfortunately, there are many homeless dogs. The day I visited with my family, we were greeted by this adorable dog literally near the entrance. It was as if he was waiting there for us, I named him "Maestro" which means "teacher" in italian. Maestro guided us through Pompei the entire day, it was as if he was part of the family. He's adorable! He reminds me of the Athens' riot dog. All you have to do to vote is "like" the photo, right? Done.
