Madrid Nice Bed and Breakfast near the Prado Museum
I will need a room for one night. I have a stopover and want to see the Prado Museum. So I would like to be in that area. Do you have suggestions for B&B's or small hotel with breakfast? Any night time entertainment that is not flamingo dancing?

Maybe the Hotel Lope de Vega? I haven't been there for quite some time, and I believe the management has changed since I was there, but the location was perfect for El Prado, and it still gets decent (OK, not great) reviews....

Sorry, but the Thyssen is not " right next door to the Prado", but it is in the "museum triangle".
As RB notes, check booking.com. You can have breakfast at anywhere of a dozen differen locations (www.maribelsguides.com/mg_madrid.pdf

Plenty og basic hotel stadard hostales around, and I would very much recommend to have breakfast in a local bar than in a hotel, ten times better, much cheaper and much more interesting, the best way to start the day in Madrid or anywhere in Spain.
When it comes to night time entertainment, there are two great live jazz clubs with top class both international and national artists just off central Plaza Santa Ana, quite close to the Prado area:
Cafe Central: http://www.cafecentralmadrid.com/
Programme: http://www.cafecentralmadrid.com/programa/
Populart: http://cafepopulart.com/
Programme: http://cafepopulart.com/event-page/
And flamenco in the best tablaos in Madrid is far from the "happy and smiley" tourist stereotype. Casa Patas, close to both Cafe Central and Casa Patas has arguably been the best tablao in the country/the world in recent years.

robert2533- thanks for the correction. 5 minute walk. not right next door. while we're at it, commas and periods go to the left of the quotation mark that's right next door. sheeeesh. let's be kind. i think the OP got the gist.
