Madrid Card or Paseo del Arte pass

I am trying to decide between the Madrid card which would allow us to skip the line at the Prado and the Paseo del Arte pass. I think the PDA pass still requires that we stand in line to exchange for a ticket. If so, totally useless , since reason to purchase is to skip the line.
Anyone happen to have used the pass and know how it works. We will be in Madrid early
October. It is still high travel season according to what I read , so I assume lines will still be long. Many thanks.

After more reading, I just decided to buy tix directly from the Prado website with an entry time. Then I printed them. We are seniors and some of the other museums have good discounts for seniors. Also, think I would feel like I had to get to the museum if I had purchased tix. I think it just depends on your circumstances. The Prado website did indicate that you were able to skip line with the Paseo del Arte Pass and then I read from another person's post that they had to stand in line and get a voucher. I just did not want to chance it, so feel good about decision. If I can remember I will check when we are there in September and post. Hope you have a great trip.

Thanks for the info. How was your trip in September?
I am still on the fence whether to get the Madrid car or Paseo... I wouldn't mind seeing some of the other smaller museums, even if just to pop in for a bit... I have a teen with me - who is very interested in all things Spanish, but historically doesn't last long in museums. I figure we will go right away to the highlights in the Prado, and see what we can in a couple of hours.
