Madrid and beyond

We have a sudden opportunity for a 2 week trip to Spain in late May, flying into and out of Madrid. Thinking of 4 or 5 days in Madrid, including a day trip to Toledo. Train to Seville, 3 days in Seville? Which would be over a weekend. Train to Granada for a 2 day stay. Then Malaga? for 2 days, or base ourselves in Malaga for a few days and take a day tour to Granada and the Alhambra. Train back to Madrid. We do not want to drive, nor live out of suitcases too often. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'd stay in Granada for a couple of nights and then head down to Malaga before returning to Madrid.

Thank you Robert2533 for your response. I realize this is a simple itinerary compared to most, but we would rather spend more time in each place than be constantly on the move. We will follow your recommendation.

Sounds like a great plan! You should know that May is serious festival time in Madrid and in Andalucia.

Trains to Grenada are being disrupted at the moment due to works on the new high speed line (AVE)
