Lyon-Frankfurt
Hello,
I am going to be in Lyon (actually Grenoble) in a few weeks and I need to get to Frankfurt (Wiesbaden). Any suggestinns ? I guess I would prefer a train, second choice fly and last drive. I am guessing it is about an 8 hour drive. The only train I was able to find so far got into Frankfurt around midnight. No luck finding flights unless I flew to London first!
Thanks !

There are many trains you can take for this trip, with 2 or 3 connections. The fastest takes 7:38 with change in Strasbourg and Karlsruhe.
Or there are others that take abour 8:15 with changes in Geneva and Basel.
And finally, you can get into Paris, but that requires a switch of station from Gare de Lyon to Gare du Nord, and another switch in Cologne.

I just checked www.bahn.de.
There are almost hourly trains available, the fastest seemed to be 8.5 hours with 2 changes:
Grenoble
Frankfurt(Main)Hbf
dep 09:26
arr 17:53
