Are there any luxury beach hotels with sandy beach and clear waters near Rome, suitable for a 5 night honeymoon August 25-Sept 1 2013? I wanted Greece / Caribbean feel but are unable to do Greece or Caribbeans (dates and timing wont allow for it, unfortunately).

Could be a tall order given that most beaches in Italy are gravel and not fine sand. Why not pick some place like Capri?
Two luxury hotels on the water near Rome:
http://www.lapostavecchia.com/en/ [former J. Paul Getty home]
http://www.pellicanohotel.com/en/luxury-hotel-maremma-tuscany.html [more resort-y]
We attended a wedding at La Posta Vecchia several years ago. It's absolutely lovely but quite formal. Il Pellicano was built as a seaside retreat, so it might be more of what you had in mind.
