Lucca to Florence with side trips

Jump to last reply

I'm planning a month long trip to Italy in Sept/oct.
One of my legs is 5 days in Lucca and 6 days in Florence in the middle of the trip. it's the first time for my wife and I, so we want to take it easy. The Lucca stay is sort of our recharge station.
Between these two locations I want to make a day trip to CT (I know, kinda short, but that's how it works), and Pisa, and Siena.

We were thinking if the CT trip and the Pisa trip out of Lucca, and Siena out of Florence.
Another alternative is to make Pisa a stopover on travel day between Lucca and Florence.

Suggestions or recommendations? Thanks.
