Loungepass.com: Use it?
I know this should probably go in the Airline forum, but there is too little traffic there, IMHO.
If you're not familiar, basically, this is a UK site that sells one-day lounge passes. Right now they're offering them at 13.5GBP. I was impressed by the # available for use in the USA, in particular.
Thoughts? Experience?

I am not familiar with this program but I do belong to Priority Pass, www.prioritypass.com and I am quite pleased with it.

I haven't used this site - but it looks like they are connected to Priority Pass which has been going for a while.
The prices for UK lounges seem the same as you can get elsewhere, but what is good is that you can book foreign lounges, which I have never been able to do before.
Don't know about prices for the states - seem to be about £20 - which is slightly higher than the UK lounge prices which are normally about £17-18.

You should be careful with any type of lounge passes. With the new security procedures you need to make sure the lounge that is connected with the program you are spending money on is located in the same terminal(s) as the airline(s) you'll be flying.
For example. AA does not have a lounge in Tampa Int., so I looked at Prioritypass program. Unfortunately Prioritypass uses Delta Lounge in the Tampa airport. Delta uses a different terminal than AA, so I would never be able to use the lounge unless I was flying Delta.
Many airports are setup in a way that unless you are flying a certain airline you don't have access to that particular terminal due to security procedures.

This is true about the lounge location.
My home airport is PIT. There is only a US Airways Club located there (for now anyway).
So no matter which airline I use the pass is good in that lounge and all terminals are open in PIT once you go through security.
In Newark, I was unable to use it as the lounges were located beyond the security for Continental flights and Delta flights and we were flying neither.
Initially, you must pay $99 and $27 for a visit. This is the first tier program.
Normal day passes at US airports start at about $25 and go up from there.
