Hi guys,

I plan on driving from Athens airport to to Dimitsana via Epidaurus (maybe Nauplio) on day one, hiking the Lousios gorge on day two, and then returning to Piraeus or Rafina on day two in the late evening. But now I've been reading up and seeing stories about possible troubles with the river in April, and I'm wondering if it's worth it to drive all the way out there...to find out that I can't do the trek...or worse, when I do the trek finding out it's not "all that" and wondering if I should have just spent those two days on an island or two...I am planning on heading to Mykonos on day three and then to Santorini afterwards but I'm wondering if I just do hikes on the islands and forget Lousios.

Any thoughts? I don't mind long days or the driving (just finally got reassurance that it won't be a problem) bc I'm a big nature buff, not a party person. I like panaromas, wildflowers, cute villages, etc. I've been reading up and some of the islands might be better for those two days - Amorgos, Folegandros, Sifnos, Naxos, the Dodecadense islands etc...my must is just Santorini, Mykonos is optional.
