Looking for nice vacation - Italy & or Amsterdam
Hi Frenz,
I am planning to visit Italy in September first week ( exact dates : Sep 1 to Sep 12). leaving from US on Sep 1st night and will be returning back to US on Sep 12th. I checked the weather in Europe during September and Italy is the only place which seems to be having warm weather still, thats the reason i have chosen Italy.
Please share some travel tips to have a nice vacation. Any suggestions and valuable ideas are appreciated.
FYI : I am travelling with 2 year old kid and my wife.
Thanks for reading this post.
Best Regards,
Manju

Hi Manju
Actually in September lots of places in Europe often have nice weather, even chilly old Britain, but is nice means hot, it may depend where in the US you come from. If it does, not only Italy but also Greece, Spain and Portugal would fit the bill.
Anyway, if it's Italy, there are a vast number of places for you to go, and things for you to see. What do you like to do on holiday? There are ancient sites, medieval cities, beaches, lakes, mountains, as well as the well-known tourist spots such as Rome and Venice. You might like to read a guide book or two or an on-line guide and then come back with a few ideas that we can help you put into practice.
A warning note - if you arrive on the 2nd and leave on the 12th you have only 10 nights; that, added to the fact that you will have a small child with you, means that looking at a maximum of 2 places in which to stay would probably lead to a better holiday.

It was very hot in SW France last September (and the year before and the year before that), and that's not unusual, so no, Italy is not the only place it's warm in September.
We have no idea what interests you other than warm weather, so it's impossible to offer suggestions or valuable ideas. The best thing to do is start reading guidebooks and scouring the internet and come up with a plan that centers around your own interests. When you have an outline of a plan, people here will be happy to help you refine it.
And I agree that, with only 10 nights, your focus should be on two bases.
