Looking for itinerary suggestions
We will be traveling to Greece in April and sailing for one week in the Greek Isles. We are arriving two days prior to when we have the boat and will be leaving three days after the cruise. Our thought was to spend the 3 nights after the cruise exploring Athens and the area.
I have no idea what to do the first two days. We would like to go to Santorini, but the ferry would be too long. Right now, flights seemed too expensive and doesn't sound too relaxing after having spent 15+ hours on the plane.
Any ideas on where we could spend a couple of nights and not have a lot of travel time to get there? (We could always do Athens first if that seems to work better).
Thanks!

Or Meteora - you can get there by train or bus and hire a taxi to visit the monasteries off the street. April is a good time to go, as you have to tackle a lot of stairs to get to the monasteries and it won't be so hot.

Hello There--
My suggestion, from my experience after many 15-18 hours of travel to Greece, would be to stay put in Athens for the first two days. Just wander around the Plaka and the Market, unwind and get your barrings. At the end of your sailing trip you will be energized to see all the beautiful sites of Athens.

Is Delphi on the way to Meteora? We are hoping to stop In delphi and then continue on to Meteora, we're traveling with a toddler, so hoping to break up the drive-anyone know how long the drive would be from Delphi to Meteora?
