I am looking for hotels in Rome when visiting the city for Easter. I am budget traveller and actually preferring a low-priced accommodation. Can someone suggest me which areas I should look for hotels and I would be rather more grateful, if some one comes up with great hotel names?

Try www.venere.com. Enter your dates, budget and preferred area. The lower-priced accommodations are in the Termini area; Repubblica and Esquilino are better than Marsala for transport connections.
This Easter? Anywhere near central Rome will be fine but you need to hurry up and book something. You can try monasteries too. www.monasterystays.com is a good start and you can do a google search and contact monasteries directly. They are clean and comfortable and you don't need to be Roman Catholic.
Hotwire.com has the Sheraton Roma for $69
just booked up 3 days there join www.spg.com
B4 you go for free suite upgrades/internet other perks.
otel.com good budget options not as good as above
booking.com also keep in mind you are trying to book
at a peak time of the pope's urbi et orbi mass
So book quickly for best deals if any.
Happy Hunting,
Thank you Zerlina for your helpful suggestion. Cathies are the monasteries cheaper than hotels. Are they also comfortable to stay?
