Looking for guided tours in Rome and Florence

Hello. I've had great luck at these boards in finding helpful travel information. Last year we made a trip to Paris. It was such a success that we thought we would make another trip abroad this year. I'm now planning for a family trip to Italy. I'm afraid that we might be taking on too much with visiting both Florence and Rome. I've two boys that were well entertained by a guide we found to take us through the Louvre, d'Orsay and other museums in Paris. Has any one used a personal guide in either Florence or Rome that offered tours to the major museums of these cities. Any information would be quite helpful to us. Thank you.
Ellie
