Looking for a great London flat

We will be spending 4 nights in London with our three kids in the middle of July. We are looking for a flat that sleeps five with a kitchen and wifi, would prefer the Kensington/Chelsea area but could be flexible on that one. Max price $500CDN/nt.
Do you have any suggestions of flats you have stayed in or agencies you have used?
I have all of the Air BnB, VRBO bases covered....looking for specific suggestions please.
You guys found us a perfect Paris flat a few years ago so I have my fingers crossed!!
Many thanks!

Can$500 is less than £250 a night. You will be able to find something for sure but it likely won't be "great". What ages are the kids. Three little ones is different than 3 teenagers - some places will ask the ages of the children.

Chelsea is a pretty pricey area, so I'd maybe look in Bloomsbury/Russell Square/Holborn/Fitzrovia (generally near the British Museum) or Southwark/the Southbank (near Borough Market/Tate Modern/Globe)

Kids are 6,11,13.
janisj I will check out some other areas. I'm hoping someone has a flat they stayed in or agency they used which might save me sifting through hundreds of flats onlinr!!!

I do have a great recommendation for budget flats for families next to the Tower of London -- but they only for a minimum of 7 nights.

It depends on your exact dates - I just looked at the site and there is a little availability in July and one gap is less than 7 days so they will rent for shorter when it is between other bookings

http://www.hamletuk.com

They are the best bargain in London and usually cheaper to rent for 7 full days even if one has to 'eat' two or three nights. Next to the Tower of London and in a yacht marina with lots of restaurants/cafes and a large supermarket.

Also check the University of London housing. They have 2 and 3 bedroom apartments for very cheap (They are pretty basic but do include breakfast in the dining hall)

We were happy with the services of London Connections. They have a U.S. phone number, and you can google the site.
