Looking for a good Paris apartment

A couple of things, has anyone used parisfurnishedapartments.com? They have some nice apartments and accept credit cards, which most agencies do not. Also I am looking at some apartments from vacationinparis.com. One is located on rue St. Sauveur and the other in the northern 3rd arrondisement above sq. du temple. Which area would be better? pros and cons. I have also used rentparis.com and have been satisfied, but the payment is not with credit card, which requires carrying alot of euros and I'm just looking at different agencies. Thanks for any info.

The apartment I've rented the past two years is privately owned by a US owner. While he doesn't take credit cards, the price is in US dollars and you send a check to him in the US.
www.sant.com

I have marked two others which come highly recommended by others here that are similar in how they operate (these two have the same owners apparently.

I was just looking at the vrbo.com site and it looks pretty promising.
I'm planning a family trip to Paris in the off-season (Feb or March) with kids. We'd like to stay 7 nights.
I found out about "vrbo.com" from this board. I'll let you know how it goes.

Not sure what you are looking for but we had a good experience renting from the American owner of a place on Rue Mornay that was quite comfortable and well located. The same folks have another apartment on Ile St. Luis that looks nice but we did not actually see it. All payment was handled by check in the US. They are online at www.paris-vacation-rental.com

Seamus:
Thanks for the advice about rue Mornay apartment. We are all set, been in touch with owner and planning to be there in February. I have been over in that area walking around and I am excited to be staying in an apartment with such a view and a good location. Thanks.

Opaldog -
So glad this worked out for you! We rally enjoyued out stay in the rue Mornay apartment. The neighborhood is quiet but very conveniently locted. There is a cafe on the corner to the right as you exit the building. Continue around the corner and you will find a nice little bakery. Turn left on exiting, then left at the corner and right at the end of the block you will find a little neighborhood grocery store. If you would like more info email me offline at [email protected]

ParisPerfect.com great location with wonderful balcony and view of the Eifel Tower, neighborhood that was fun to be in, markets, easy access to metro and beautifully decorated. Easy rental and great people to work with.
