Looking for a driver from Granada to Cordoba
I'm interested in a driver for the day to take us from Granada to Cordoba.
Does anyone have any information about the best way to obtain that???

It is indeed expensive to hire a car and driver for the day for a long trip, but that budgets seems consistent with what I'd expect because it's a fairly long drive. But you can easily take a bus. Buses are comfortable and convenient (and pretty cheap) even though the bus station is outside of the Granada city center. Most buses have free Wi-Fi, though it's slow and doesn't work very well.

The 8:30 am ALSA bus takes just under three hours and will cost you 22,21€ for the round-trip. The lastest return departs Córdoba for Granada at 7:00 pm. That would give you 8 hours in Córdoba during the middle of the day.

We took the Alsa bus in March from Cordoba to Granada. As Doug indicated, the bus was very comfortable and ran right on time. The bus station is a short cab ride away to the center of both cities.

Of course there is train service between the two cities - just not what you may be expecting. There is some construction between Granada and Antequera, but Renfe train system sells you a ticket for the entire trip. You go to the train station and board a bus...as far as Antequera train station, and then you transfer to the train to Cordoba. One ticket via train system. I appreciate it is confusing due to comments about construction and having to take a bus and a train, but Renfe takes care of most of the pain for you.
When I fly Air France from Ottawa, there isn't enough service to warrant an actual plane first let. I get an Air France plane ticket, go to the train station where I board a bus to the Montreal airport to finally board a real plane.
As others have mentioned, the bus is a comfortable and viable option. Both are about same time of travel...if you buy an ALSA Plus fare. No stops and it has wifi - which the train does not have. You can travel even cheaper if you don't mind 2 extra hours traveling and about stops.
