Looking for a 3 bedroom apartment in Paris

My mother and mother-in-law, my sister-in-law and myself, and my daughter and niece are trying to plan a trip to Paris for the 6 of us after Christmas.

I'm thinking an apt would be most economically practical, but 3 bedroom apts aren't as easy to come by.

I found this one in the latin quarter:

http://www.vrbo.com/112368

This one in the Marais
(but it seems like it's on one of the islands from the map?)

(scroll to the last one w/3bdr)

If you have any comments on these or have others to suggest, I'd greatly appreciate it.

thanks,
dina

Dina,

They both look nice. What I couldn't see from skimming the descriptions is whether or not they had elevators, if this is a consideration.

The second one is not on one of the islands but on the right bank, a few blocks from the river. Both are in good locations. The second is a bit larger. More room is always nice.

We stayed in the three bedroom Palais Royal from www.parisvacationapartments.com. It is a wonderful apartment--3 1/2 baths, great location, and one flight up from where the elevator stops.

Dina,

I currently have that first one rented from 12-23-08- Jan. 2-09.

I wanted the one from Vacation in Paris and am waiting to hear back if it is available for the full week but I have to see what my cancellation policy is on the VBRO one (which is listed through an agency that has been great btw).

What dates are you going?

MomDDTravel --
What a small world, and how sad for us, your dates overlap when we would need the apt! Good for you for thinking ahead! Let me know if you cancel. our dates were for 4 or 5 nights after Christmas.

CW --
that Palais Royale apt looks wonderful. I had seen it, but I think it's too pricy for our budget. thanks for commenting on the apts.

Chouchou --
That apt does seem really great, but i'm looking for something in a bit of a more central neighborhood.

I also found this one near Les Invalides:

Thanks for your help!

Dina - I am waiting to hear back from Vacation in Paris and looking through my rental agreement to see what kind of a hit I am going to take.

Stacey the rental agent has been great to communicate with - If it is a reasonable cancellation I will surely let you know asap.

My eamil is [email protected] if you would like to email me so I can email you back with the information when need be.

The only reason I booked so far in advance was indeed the 3 bedroom issue. It is hard to travel with a clan!

We have one rented right by the Louvre for July. Look for it at www.parisapartmentslouvre.com I haven't stayed there yet but it looks like it will be great and excellent location.

Well I started my search for a 3 bedroom when this was posted in May but got sidetracked as I had to plan my daughter's wedding in Morocco first. Now, we will head back to the US from Morocco via Paris at Christmas and everything is booked! So I found this thread and thought maybe someone had some information to share for a place for 7 of us. I have looked at every site possible, including those listed here, but maybe missed something. We may have to do two apts near each other. Basically the Marais, Latin Quarter or St. Germaine. Any help would be great and kudos to all of you who got the places you wanted!

Wakkoqueen, I've used London Guest Suites successfully many times for London but they also have apartments in Paris & several 3 bedrooms. Just enter your search criteria here:

Take a look at the www.parisperfect.com website. You might find something there.

Enjoy.....

Dina, that Marais apartment looks incredible. I love the Marais too, and personally would prefer its cozy, curvy streets to the more stately blocks around Invalides.

I suggest looking at Paris Address which has various properties in Paris and quite a few offering three bedrooms.

still hope to get back to paris soon!
