Looking for 2 star or so hotel in Neice

We're thinking about going to France next MarchApril. We plan to spens 5 days in Paris with a couple of day trips (i know Paris takes years but...), then we plan to go to Neice for 2 or 3 days.

Can anyone recommend a nice modest hotel in Neice. We look at a hotel as a place to sleep and bath, so it doesn't have to be luxurious, just clean and affordable.

Any and all recommendations are appreciated.

Thanks
MJ

Do you really mean Neice or Nice? Never heard of Neice, but I can recommend a great hotel in Nice. The Hotel Star is quiet, clean, friendly, and well-located. The owners, George and Francoise, are wonderful hosts. Rick Steves recommended this hotel and the phone number and address are included in his book.

Try Star Hotel (a two-star hotel) 14 Rue Biscarra, tel. 93-85-19-03; fax 93-13-04-23. Good location; clean, comfortable rooms; very friendly management.

I stayed at a great hotel called Hotel Felix.

41, Rue Massena
06000 Nice
tel. 0493886773
fax 0493161578

all the rooms have their own bath, cable tv, AC, direct dial telephone,
parking

I think it was about $60/day breakfast was extra but I would just recommend going to the bakery next door and getting something to eat b/c that is basically what you get form the hotel at twice the price. The hotel was 1 block from the beach and Teddy(the owner) will give you a coupon for a good beach place to lay out at if you are interested. It's not too far from
the mail train station Nice Ville but with alot of luggage I wouldn't recommend it. We took at cab it took about 5 mins I know there is also a bus that goes close to the hotel but I'm not sure of the number. Nice is a great place. Definately take the train to Monte Carlo for a morning or afternoon. Have a great time
