After reading all the threads on Paris apartment rentals, and looking at the offerings by several of the companies (Paris Perfect, Paris Attitude, etc.) I turn to my fellow Fodorites for help. I will be staying in Paris for much of 2013, as I will be taking different courses at the Sorbonne--the first session being mid-Feb. to mid-April, with a budget of E1,700 per month. Can anyone recommend an apartment at which they have stayed in the past through Homeaway, VRBO, or another? I am having a hard time finding somewhere suitable staying within my budget. It can be small; all I need is natural light, a safe neighborhood, and closeness to a metro station.
Thanks a lot!

The university has a housing office to help students find accommodations. If you can qualify for an official student apartment, the rent will be no more than 500-800 euros.

Thank you, Kerouac! I will definitely check out this possibility.
