Long term accomodation in Rome or Frascati

Our son will be studying in Frascatti just outside of Rome for 3 1/2 months, starting in May. We are looking for a furnished small studio or apartment close to the Termini station. Have checked many sites, but have come up empty handed. Has anyone an recommendations Please? Around 500 - 800 Euros. Thanks for your help.

Have you actually contacted rental agents? You can and should do that for both the vacation rental type agencies and for Italian real estate agents like casa.it.

The vacation rentals that advertise high weekly rates are often willing to work with you for a longer-term rental at a drastically reduced rate.

I'm assuming your son is old enough to sign a rental contract and speaks a signficant amount of Italian. If not, he might want to pair up with a bi-lingual roommate or rent a room in the house of a bl-lingual Italian family.

I assume this opportunity has only recently become available because your son is very late in planning an essential element to success in his studies. If he's a U.S. citizen, I hope he already has his visa...

Hasn't the program provided any guidance or assistance???

Zeppole, thanks for your advise. Good to know we could try negotiating for monthly rates. This has all happened very quickly, our heads are spinning. ESRIN has sent some contacts and have promised to send more info. We will keep searching, I am sure it will come together.
Yes it is late and yes he has his visa!

www.craigslist.org might be worth a try. But beware of scams.

Just took a look at www.craigslist.it under sublet. There are several good ones. Rooms at 450 Euro. I would try the one in San lorenzo. It is a great area filled with students. And near Termini.
