London Visitor Travelcard

I have a London Visitor Travelcard voucher. Where is the best/easiest place at Heathrow to exchange the voucher for the actual card? I will be taking a National Express bus from Heathrow at the beginning of my trip and I won't be using the card for several weeks until I return to London to finish my trip.

Actually, I've always exchanged my voucher at Victoria Station. Is Heathro one of the Tube stations where you can exchange the voucher? Usually there's a listing of them in the brochure that comes with it.

I believe we exchanged our voucher for the actual pass at Heathrow. There was a desk where we exchanged our vouchers for the pass. Just look for the signs. It was in the main area not far from where we picked up our luggage.

Hope this helps!

I just checked Heathrow's website and found this information that may be helpful:

INFORMATION AND HELP DESKS: For parking, transportation, shopping and flight information, or to confirm your flight reservation, (tel: (0)870 000 0123). Information desks are available in each terminal. There are London Tourist Board centres at the terminal 1,2 and 3 London Underground stations. Help desks are also located throughout the airport, where passengers can seek assistance by using a courtesy telephone and can also look at terminal maps. Help points are also located throughout the airport where passengers can seek assistance by using a courtesy telephone. This service is free to passengers with special needs.

In the future, you can avoid the need to exchange a voucher by dealing directly with Transport for London; at ticket-on-line.com you can order the passes themselves, with no additional charge for shipping. Or just buy a regular (non-visitor) travelcard after you arrive in London!

I'm pretty sure the travel card is dated. If you exchange the voucher for it when you arrive the "clock will start running" at that time.

You should wait until you are back in London to make the exchange.

I just ordered travel cards for my visit in June on the website mentioned by Anonymous. It was very easy. They send you the actual pass with no additional fees. They arrive within 7-10 days of the first day you plan on using them which you specify when you purchase them. I doublechecked the prices against the tube website and they were the exact same for the 7 day card for children and only .20 difference for adults. Thanks for the top! susan
