War Horse is at the New London and Matilda is at the Cambridge. They are are near each other and (quite literally) hundreds of restaurants are w/i walking distance. No way to recommend one. What sort of food do you like and your budget?

Glad to hear they are close. We are staying at Grosvenor House. Thinking of ethnic food such as Indian or Italian.Medium to upper medium in price.

I agree - absolutely no shortage in the area - the key is do you want to do pre-show or post-show. I'm a big fan of pre-show snacks / appetzrs and then going out post-show for a long-slow dinner. Talk to your hotel concierge - but note than many pre-show meals tend to be smaller menu / fixed-price - and in my opinion at many restaurants are not quite as good as post-show meals - plus you won't feel rushed.
