London Question: How Do I Get to the Royal Albert Hall?

a question some American tourist asks when looking for the Albert Hall.

And the Answer from a London passerby was - "Practice, Practice, Practice!." Cute joke I heard on Coronation Street last night.

Any other inside London jokes you are familiar with?

Cheers!

I rather think that was borrowed from New York and Carnegie Hall.

"outside of a dog a book is a man's best friend, inside of a dog it's too dark to read."

Oh no, it was a Groucho Marx one

it was still funny, thanks Pal.

Groucho Marx fans can get a weekly dose of his humour at the moment on Radio 4 Extra in the remake of "Flywheel, Shyster and Flywheel", staring Michael Roberts as Groucho as Mr Flywheel:

not sure if the link will work but you might find it on YouTube.

My toes still remember, from my primary school days, "How you make a Maltese Cross?"

It's a about a hundred years old and was originally about Carnegie Hall (opened 1891).

Thanks for the edification!

a three- legged dog walks into a pub in the Wild West with two guns strapped to his sides and says "I'm looking for the man who shot my paw!"
