London neighborhood hotel

My husband and I will be visiting our daughter who is residing in student housing on Butlers Wharf on Gainsford Street on the south bank of the river near Tower Bridge. Could anyone recommend convenient and reasonably priced hotels to this location.
Much appreciated

You could try Premier Inn Tower Bridge. That area is very residential and I can't think of anything closer. There is a Hilton closer to London bridge but that is pricier and farther away than the premier inn.

What do you consider 'reasonably priced"? That could mean anything.

Another option is a short walk across the bridge - The Tower Hotel. But maybe not in your budget.

How long ar you visiting? If a week or more, you could also consider a flat in St Katharine's Marina just across the river. http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~hamlet_uk/

Try these websites that give you the ability to narrow your search by area:

www.londontown.com
www.lastminute.com
www.laterooms.com

The area round Tower Bridge is very busy but you don't say when you're going, which will of course, affect the rate. The Hilton on Tooley Street is close by but rates fluctuate wildly. You need to grab an offer that's in budget as soon as you see it in any of the hotels in the area. The St Katherine's dock option is a good idea, as it's just over the bridge, as is the Guoman Tower Hotel. Again rates for the Tower can go up and down but it's a hotel that we like for its location.

If you get a reasonable rate at the Hilton Tower Bridge (possible at the weekend, a lot less likely during the week), it's a good choice. The rooms are modern and a good size. The breakfast is one of the most comprehensive I've seen anywhere, although expensive if not included in your nightly rate. Sitting in the restaurant in the morning watching the streams of worker bees heading past on their way to the office is entertainment in itself. It's where we always stay when in London, but we look out for offers and book way in advance.
