London-Leicester
Hi there,
I would very much appreciate your advice at this stage..
In fact I am reaching London on 10th July 2013 at 19 30 approximately and I already need to be present in Leicester on 12th..
I would very much appreciate your advice how to reach leicester taking into consideration that i have a mobility problem and walk rather slowly..
Thanks load in advance. Eagerly waiting for your response..

Where are you staying in London?
Trains to Leicester leave from St Pancras station, which is on the same tube line as Heathrow.
Www.nationalrail.co.uk will give you train details.

There would be a fair amount of walking from the tube train to the Midland trains at St Pancras, and if I remember correctly at least one long-ish staircase. Presumably you'll have luggage with you as well.
Is the more important thing to stay in London for a bit or to get straight to Leicester?
If the former then it might be worth staying somewhere near Russell Square tube (lifts to the street, I think, but someone else may know for sure), from where it wouldn't cost the earth to take a taxi to St Pancras.
If the latter, then you might prefer to stay in a hotel at Heathrow and get a direct bus on to Leicester the next day (National Express seem to run every two hours, journey time about 3 hours):

Actually would love to have your views over this option:
From Heathrow, catch a tube on Picadilly Line to St Pancras on the 10th. Stay at a hotel near St Pancras. And on the 11th take a train to Leicester train station.
Well the option of a direct bus seems interesting as well. The only issue is whether it is far from the university of Leicester or Leicester train station?
I would be accompanied by one person over 60 years.

It really is a trek to get to the local lines at St. Pancras. If you take a taxi it will drop you off at the right place and save you the walk, in which case you don't need to stay right at St. Pancras - although if you can afford it the historic railway hotel there has been renovated - http://www.marriott.com/hotels/trave...-london-hotel/.
There is a lift at Russell Square, plus a few steps (http://www.tfl.gov.uk/gettingaround/...s/1000200.aspx ) and Bloomsbury is a nice area to stay.

I think the National Express website shows you a Google map of where its stops are in Leicester. Presumably you could get a local taxi from there, as from Leicester railway station, to wherever you need to get to in Leicester.

Can you pls suggest some hotels situated both near Heathrow airport and the place to catch the bus!

I don't really know anything about hotels at Heathrow, I'm afraid but perhaps someone else can chime in.
As I noted above, the National Express website will show you where their stops are situated in relation to the main terminal buildings.
