London - Hotel Imperial

We need a hotel in Russell Square , and I am looking at Imperial.
It is not clear from what I found on net if it has A/C.
Is anybody who knows this hotel and can tell me the opinion about it?

valtor - Does the hotel HAVE to be looking at Russell Square or do you men in the Russell Square vicinity?
I ask because hotels like the Imperial, Royal National & Tavistock are all very basic and rooms are small. I have stayed at the Imperial many many years ago and it is noisy if your room overlooks the street.
I don't know what room rate you have in mind for your stay but would like to point out that if you are able to book up to 20 days in advance, The Ibis Hotel Euston (right next to the station & tube) is letting rooms go for 70.57 - all are doubles/twin.
We stay there everytime in London as its close to pubs, restaurants, a supermarket & laundry. It's just up the road from St.Pancrass.

valtor - Is that THE Hotel Russell referred to in the musical "Cats"? If so you will love it! I unfortunately have never stayed there but a good friend of mine says the bathrooms 'are large and cavernous'!

If it is the Hotel Russel you'll be in good company - it's where the Bloomsbury Group used to hang out.

Yes, it is the Hotel Russell. I wanted it because it is close to British Museum and on Piccadilly line.
