London Heathrow Hotels

My husband and I need to find a hotel at Heathrow airport Terminal 5 for one night May 3, 2014 as we have a 10am flight to Los Angeles. So far I have found one hotel called Sofitel.
Has anyone stayed there or have other suggestions? I think our check in time at Terminal 5 is 8am. Felicity99.

The Sofitel is the only hotel at Terminal 5. I've stayed there several times. It's probably the nicest Heathrow hotel if it fits your budget and very convenient for T-5 departures. Book early for the best price.

All the other hotels are off-airport but convenient by the Hotel Hoppa (a paid shuttle bus)

sheratonheathrowhotel.com This hotel is minutes from T5 on the Hoppa bus going to the hotel.

On the way back to T5 it takes about 20 minutes.

There are other hotels in the vicinity but none actually at the terminal.

For example

Hilton Terminal 5
Holiday Inn Express Terminal 5
Travelodge Terminal 5
Premier Inn Terminal 5 (close to the Sheraton Heathrow & there is a Thistle Hotel opposite, also convenient for T5)

Sheraton Heathrow as already mentioned,
The Arora Hotel in Colnbrook village is closed for refurb but will be open early next year, its very close to T5 and Colnbrook village is pretty.

Marriot at Windsor, again a hoppa bus from T5 or T1/2/3/ bus stops. Friday to Sunday rooms are v cheap, pool etc

At all of these watch out for black cab rates as many of these hotels are outside their standard rates. I was offered £40 for 6 miles last week.

<<There are other hotels in the vicinity but none actually at the terminal> I meant apart from the very nice Sofitel, of course.

We have stayed at the Sofitel, it is very convenient for an early morning check in.

It is also a very nice hotel with really comfortable beds, nice room, bathroom etc. I recommend it.
