What do you consider "reasonable"? Which airport? No place is close to more than a handful of sites - but everywhere is accessible to everywhere else by public transport. And anyplace a tourist would likely find herself will be safe.

Agree you need to giv emore info.

Esp on what you plan on seeing/doing. London is a large city and few major sights are that close together - many are miles apart.

Heathrow airport...we both have been to london before so sightseeing is not a concern....
shopping and nightlife withing walking distance would be perfect. Is Soho still the place to be? I read online that the Limetree hotel is nice? what is the going rate for a hotel in london 3***? We don't wqnt to spend alot of time busing around... we just want to shop alittle and just hang out within walking distance.

once again - what is your budget? We really do need to know how much you want to spend. The "going rate" will cover a very wide range . . . . .

Is Soho still the place to be?>>>

It depends what you want. If you want to drink spendy coffee with gay men then yes it's the very place.
