London - Bermondsey neighborhood for an 12 day stay

Jump to last reply

Looking for a bit of advice from the London experts on the forum..

I am traveling with two friends to London this spring and we are champagne lovers with a beer budget. So I have scoured the internet looking for three bedroom flats in our price range, which is around $240 per night total.

I have been to London a few times, but never for so long a stay. The longest was five days and I stayed close to Newington Green.

This one looks very appealing to all of us (despite the 1 bathroom, which we can live with.) Can anyone comment on the neighborhood which appears to be St. James Road in Bermondsey?
Here's the flat: https://www.vrbo.com/711738
(The flat has no reviews, but the owner has reviews for another apartment. So he looks like a Real Person.)

We also have some AirBnB properties bookmarked. One is right across the river close to Wapping station. But I hope this one would work because it looks pretty nice!

Thanks for any insight you can provide!
