London and daylight

Hi all

I have heard that London has very little daylight hours during winter and during summer it is the complete opposite.

Can anyone give details of the average sunrise/sunset hours during these seasons?

Many thanks for any help

There truly is a website for everything these days, and I'm dead serious, if you wanna know when you're gonna die, go to www.deathclock.com-input the info. requested-and, it'll give you the exact time and date! (I think it's horribly funny-but certain of my friends fail to see the amusement!)

We were in London last December and it started getting dark at around 4 PM.

And a few years ago we were in Aberfeldy, Scotland on the first day of summer and dusk was about 11 PM and the sun rose at about 3 AM (so they say - didn't wake up to verify that one.)

Spygirl, I went to that site and it says my date of death is September 23, 2015. My mother lived to be 94, and I'm not planning on going any sooner! I agree; it's pretty funny.

Spygirl

I noticed that if I drop 10 pounds I add 4 years to my life and if I drop 20 pounds I add 11 years. Time to go jogging!

For daylight hours, also try sunrisesunset.com

I love that deathclock.com! Apparently I will live to be 103. I am fairly sure I do not want to live that long, but this means I should get to all 1,000 places in Patricia Schultz's book before I die. . . .

Glad to see there are others out there enjoying that site as much as I do- even the much-traveled Cicerone!

(I esp. like the predictions of who's got one foot in the grave -too funny!)

ah well, encore au boulot....

Hey if you put in the deathclock.com info that you are a "sadist" it says that you are ALREADY DEAD!

Pays to be an optimist. . . .

..until you notice that the site is encouraging you to fill up with all sorts of pills and potions. Never mind dying, the phrase 'one born every minute' comes to mind...
